Since graduating with a BA(hons) degree in Performance Costume from Edinburgh College of Art and Design in 2005, Ian Tod has undertaken a diverse and exciting range of creative projects.
Since 2006 Ian has assisted Kelly Cooper Barr in projects for the herald newspaper, 3 Tula bag launches, the Silverburn shopping centre opening in Glasgow and also the mamma sans hotel, restaurant and bar opening in Glasgow.
Ian has also gained vast commercial media experience with work for the Scotsman’s spectrum and pulse magazines, Scots campus magazine and also London’s disorder magazine and is also having a shoot published in instant magazine. He has also recently completed work on the kilted Scots 2009 calender which involved an a array of Scottish celebrity's such the cast of Taggart and Eddie Reader. Ian has recently became the stylist for Joyce Paton at the miller and has also done the styling for the cover of talented singer Madaleine Pritchard's new album Every Minute.
Ian has become the fashion stylist for the Skinny Scotland's cutting-edge culture and listings magazine. He has also styled two shots for the best scottish weddings magazine spring summer 2009 and the upcoming autum winter
Ian has also undertaken several hair salon styling projects for clients such as Dom Migele and ishi hair salon. Ian has also worked with Byron hair dressing, salon Ian in Falkirk and vidal sasoon Edinburgh. Ian is also representing Byron Hairdressing, Kirkcaldy in the 2009 L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy in London and is also representing Frances Hunter Hairdressing in the trend vision 2009 competition. He has also been involved at numerous fashion shows including two M.I.A shows, the Scottish teenage cancer trust, Ian also co styled and resourced the charity chic fashion show at Harvey Nichols in Oct 2007, the catwalk launch of the new Hearts football club clothing range RRevolution and recently assisted in the the launch of the 2008/2009 Celtic football club home and away strips.
Dedicated and professional, Ian has a solid reputation in the creative industry and has worked with some of Scotland’s most established photographers, make-up artists and designers.
